Wait, why does it say "Apologies to Walk Kelly"?

Walt Kelly. In DCS's news post he said something about a tribute to another artist.

Hot DANG! I've been madly in love with Walt Kelly's POGO since I first discovered it back in school and this might just be the most perfect recreation of his style I've ever seen. And the joke itself is a wonderful blend of D.C's humor style blended with Kelly's to plus the punchline even MORE!

Seriously, folks... If you're unfamiliar with Walt Kelly's POGO, become familiar! It's one of the single best comics ever made and the more you know about IT, the funnier and more beautiful today's strip becomes.

What's that sound I hear? It appears to be the sound of every other cartoonist in America dropping their pens in resignation.

I had an idea once that Pogo should make another go at being resurrected, and that D.C. should be the one to pull it off. Now I'm absolutely convinced. D.C., march your butt over to the O.G.P.I. headquarters and enlist! Your country needs YOU! *makes Uncle Sam gesture*

Brilliant. Enough so to prompt me to register. He's got the entire Kelly style nailed.

But then I always suspected a hint of Walt Kelly in O&M anyway.

I like it!

I think it is great that one of DCS' heroes could do a guest strip for him. That's a definite sign that you've made it.

Well, it would have been odd of Walt Kelly really drew this, since he died almost 34 years ago.

I barely know who Walt Kelly is...

Please, don't kill me! I want to live...

EDIT: I just wiki'ed Walt Kelly and he looks like he did the same things DC continues with in his comics.
