I'm guessing that they're playing a variant of Battleships in which the boards exist in their minds and "sinking a ship" is replaced with "converting a buddha."

The layout of this strip was VERY well designed to feel like a regular "Ozy and Millie". I really dug the familar panel border design and background textural linework.
And it was funny to boot.

The background patterns do look a lot like what David regularly does.
I wonder whether an even closer close-up in panel three would have been better? Then a sudden pull back to when Ozy converts Millie's Buddha. Or maybe that's a better set up for a cartoon.
