Did Timulty mean that as a good deed to Avery, or is he growing into a deliberate menace? His defiant tone in Panel 2 makes me wonder.
Of course, where he got the impression of that meaning of "invent" is anyone's guess. Millie? Isolde?

Avery and Timulty look like they're the same size! DCS should TOTALLY redraw this strip so that they're at a more distinct proportion!
