Another Explanation

Again, we see another running theme in Ozy and Millie: poor Ozy being sat on by his father. I know I wouldn't appriciate my dad sitting on me, and I'm taller than he is!

Also, maybe Locke should look into weaker water balloons. Or throw a bit higher so the balloon would pierce itself on Llewelyn's horns. It wouldn't be a direct hit, but Llewelyn would get fairly soaked.

Another thing I like about this strip is how it has two gags going on at once: the verbal joke about Ozy being sat on and the visual joke of Locke's balloon bouncing back at him. It's hard to tell which joke is the primary one of the strip.

Finally, I like the word 'poink.'

some of the best ozy and millie strips involve someone getting drenched with water, especially the "healthy competition" strip with ozy as the small business and millie as the huge corporation wiht the water hose. That and water balloons rock. <img src='

It's not hard to draw a wet tail, just do the normal top bit with a bit of ruffleness maybe and the bottom all drenched and hanging down.
And is Locke's hands white in that last frame!?

No, he's clutching his tail. Look closely.

There's also the third joke where Llwelleyn explains how the hostility between him and Locke started. For me that was the primary humour in this strip.

I wonder why he's holding his tail, too shocked to be wringing it.
Plus that'd hurt heaps.

Well he doesn't seem that shocked.

Not shocked but like... kinda... that thing that they only do in comics.

Well, not enough to a point where he wouldn't be able to take care of his wet tail, is what I'm saying.

Of course it matters! It's "Ozy and Millie", the world revolves around what happens there!

Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to take my medication. <img src='
