Exactly, thank you. As someone with many adopted cousins (my relatives adopted quite a few children over the years) it always bothers me when I hear people refer to the adoptive parents as if they were not the "real" parents.
I myself have four adopted cousins, and, when we were growing up, it would simply never have occurred to any of us that they were any less my cousins, or their parents' children, because they were adopted. It actually really grates on me when people ask me who Ozy's "real father" is. Llewellyn is his real father.

I understand their reasoning, though. I understand yours, too. I'm a very understanding spotted fox, even if I am annoying.
And I don't need any popcorn; I have plenty of kibble.

Forgive the tangent, but I get annoyed sometimes when would-be parents state their reasons for not looking into adoption. They may have good reasons, but often they say they're just afraid the kid will hate them for not being the biological parents -- or, if he or she was adopted young enough, for not telling them sooner. That's an awfully wimpy reason. Any resentment the kid feels is bound to be fleeting at most, unless you're a really bad parent anyway.

I keep telling you...Ozy's dad is Llewellyn. Adoptive parents are real parents.
And we keep not listening!
Llewellyn

Firey, firey night -
Relaxing on grassy knolls,
Family photoes on castle walls
Who each conspire but really aren't a threat.
And though my father be red,
Pantless, eccentric, with two horns -
Even though to him I was not born
We're closer than the colours of the rainbow.
Now I hope they'll know
What I try to say to them
How we're a genuine family
None, as phony, could condemn.
They would not listen they're not listening still
Perhaps they never will.

Jack, you continue to impress me with the amount of time you seem to have on your tiny orange hands.
If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place. (Revelation 2:5, NIV)

The great thing about adopted cousins is that there is slightly less social stigma if you end up boinking them.

Are you saying he's an Oompa Loompa?
Jack, do you have green hair?

And your avatar that implies multiple Rolf's continues to make me fearful.
