I seem to remember an article on that...Some guy created a new kind of math where division by zero is well-defined... it equals a new quantity called (I believe) "nullity"... it leads to all sorts of wacky stuff.
I love math so much, which is a good thing since half of my college degree is math...
Eh, whatever. After I flunked Calc 4 and introductory Act Sci, I moved over to the BCS program; so, no more math.
Cool, your university has a major in college football?

So that's why! I knew there was a reason, and I knew that when I posted the above message that you'd tell me what it was... but I never would have guessed that. I thought it would have been some deep grammatical concept... or lack thereof, perhaps.Only because when your colleges became universities, they didn't want to change their name because they thought they'd lose the brand recognition. In the States the terms are pretty much interchangeable. And for crying out loud, university != college

This is how I'd do it. 2(2+4) is no different to 2*6, therefore it would be broken down like so:=105
12*3 = 36
36/2 = 18
18*(2+4) = 108
108 - 3 = 105.
What you do, y'see, is calculate 2(2+4), giving 12, before 12*3/2, which isn't following order of operations.
If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place. (Revelation 2:5, NIV)
