I've seen Millie in that first panel before. :3
Hehe, this was a funny one.
Heh, as for the Oregon thing, it's either a Colbert thing or a totally random thing.

I figure DCS chose a minor town at random (one near enough that he knew it but few readers would) to demonstrate Millie's uniqueness among possible trip buddies.

See, Ozy, this is why I can't take comfort in forgetting things.

Yeah, I tend to reference obscure countries in the same way. Especially Azerbaijan.

:x Ouch! Poor Millie, now she got herself into another trouble.
This one looks really good with the expressions and everything, love Ozzy there.

Oregon is Washington's Mexico.
Also, Canada is Washington's Canada.

(And, yes, I picked Medford completely at random. I acquired my belief that random place names are funny from Walt Kelly, who seems to have thought the same thing.)

Aah, ok, random luck of the draw. Fair enough! Not a bad little area, though. really green and full of wineries, looks a lot like southern France, and some of the best shakespearian theatre in the country. plus, award-winning cheese. Mmm, cheese.
Allright, i'm doing being a travel board spokesperson.

Yeah, I've gone down there for the Oregon Shakespeare Festival a number of times.

Shakespear Festival?

Hmm, the word "festival" usually means loud music, alcohol, and casual attitudes to narcotics for me... :wag:

I wonder if panel 2 is the first time we see Millie standing with her tail between her legs.

Shakespeare was quite the party animal.

Heh, sounds like you've never been to a Shakespeare Festival. :-P

I'm thinking I've seen her like that before, probably around Felecia or someone equally horrendous.

I've heard theorized that Shakespeare was on drugs when he wrote some of his sonnets. That got me thinking: "Lilies that fester smell far worse than weed...s."
