I like how this strip pokes fun at cable news. The news report simultaneously contradicts itself (no news network is excluded from this), and when the network can't find someone important to interview they start pick almost totally random people (its like when newscasters ask local rednecks what the tornado sounded like).

It's little things like that scroll bar and secondary gags like that that make O&M great.<br><br>What I want to know is why GL needs an entire truckload of mercury thermometers for medical supplies when the population of the nation is 2. If Llewellyn gets sick or something, isn't his temperature always going to be well above 98.6F regardless? Fire's a lot hotter than that. And I don't think Ozy gets sick that much. You know, I've never seen a strip with Ozy or Millie sick. Wouldn't a strip with one of them home from school sick have great potential for a story arc?
