You can stop right there, I'm a Christian believe in all of them. :p
Then you must be either
a)not devout enough
b)smarter (or at least less conservative) than the average Christian.
The above states the obvious.

When I made my last post I was in a hurry 'cause I didn't want to miss the bus to class, and also I was half asleep. Lemme add some stuff.

Fist, Islamists (or Muslims) believe in God (whom they call Allah) and believe that Jesus was a prophet and a good teacher, but of course don't believe in his resurrection.

The story goes that the founder of Islam, Muhammad, was visited by the archangel Gabriel, who gave him God's word to write down, which became the Koran. Muhammad then became the founded of Islam.

I could go on but it gets real controversial from there and it's probably best to not ruin the thread. :)

vocal Christian. There is a huge difference between the opinions of Televangelists and the opinions of... Every Christian I've met.

Most Christians I've met believe in a loving, forgivng God rather than the "Do as I say or go to HELL!" sort that are presented by the Televangelists.

yeah, I did mean continuation of Judaism, and yes I am coming from a Christian viewpoint (take that as you will).
I didn't mean what I said in a retaliatory way, I just wondered if that particular comment was from a Christian point of view.
Except Willy Wonka. Everyone knows that's just a dumb theory.
INFIDEL!!

Actually Muslims place more significance on Jesus than that. The Koran mentions him several times and even uses some of the Biblical stories if I remember correctly. They believe him to be a divinely inspired prophet and also believe in his resurrection at judgement day to fulfill his promise of a second coming. I'm a little sketchy about what happens next, if I'm not mistaken (I'm writing this part without checking my facts) according to the Muslim version Jesus then speaks against Christianity and tells the people to convert to Islam.

People like Pat Robertson seem to me to exist solely to give the Christian right a bad name.

I think that they're here to test the faith of Christians. Somewhere in the Bible (don't know where yet, I'm only up to the middle of Isaiah) Christians are warned about false prophets claiming to represent Christ, but actually working for evil. Don't know if it mentions whether they will think they're working for Christ, though.

The ones that drive me nuts are the ones that claim to be able to heal blindness and disabilities on 2 AM TV programs.

Because Millie was talking about Ozy's religion. Speaking of which, we got to wrapped up in the discussion of circumcision, we didn't even talk about Buddhism.

The anti-christ is meant to be a devout christian, iirc.
