While it's possible that this storyline might be recalled , in a continuing strip format like this where the characters rarely ever age, this type of ending is not uncommon. I've gotten my fair share of flak for the occasional unsatisfying resolution, and sometimes it's the way it has to be. If it ended in some other, overly drawn out fashion, it would have altered too many character dynamics, and I'm willing to bet that D.C. has more than his fair shar of "Bully" gags left in him.
