Women and girls are statistically more likely to get depressed.
Good point. I had forgotten about that little factoid. Still it's very likely that most guys just don't want to admit they have a problem with depression until they have a big breakdown occur. Sadly I've witnessed this myself firsthand. We men tend to be to macho for our own good sometimes.

These last few strips are a perfect example of why Australians should be segregated from normal, red-blooded Americans.
I have to agree with that. :?

Presentation is nothing in the face of first impressions. Millie can talk/explain/protest/argue till she dies of old age, but it won't change Sorkowitz's approach to recent events.
Sadly, I just don't think reality has any bearing on Sorkowitz's actions here. She's towing the party line, for all intents and purposes and Is likely VERY aware of exactly what happened.

By punishing Millie instead of Jeremy, she's taking the (percieved) path of least resistance while still LOOKING like she's doing her job and being "Tough on bullies".

I feel sorry for the school Shrink. She's got an idiot for a boss. I mean that bull should be taken out back and pushed into a meat grinder. Then served up as Hamburgers for lunch. hehehehehee. I mean her job is made all the more difficult thanks to that guy.

frankly, considering the look on Doctor wahnsinnig's face in that last panel i wouldn't be surprised if she's thinking about having hamburger's for breakfast lunch and dinner for a long while. strictly in a therapeutic sense of course. *smirks evilly, looking for a hatchet to go after her "intelligent" boss* in all seriousness though, when the shrink is giving millie's "deviously evil" look, i think we all need to run far far away
