Did anyone else notice the entire first panel was covered up by that note? What are they trying to hide from us?

Now that's not a fair accusation. There are also adjectives, like "a" and "giant." :-P

Actually "a" is an indefinite article. Also, what about "now" , "eat" and "from"? None of those are nouns.

They're the group of senators' wives who got together in the 80s to censor the evil that was heavy MEHTUL. Those parental advisory stickers on albums, tapes, and CDs are their lasting legacy.

Articles are a subset of adjectives. But you're right about the other words, which I was too lazy to review.

Articles are a subset of adjectives? Hardly...

You can say 'the small house' but not 'small the house'. While with any other adjectives you can swap them around. Historically, articles came from demonstratives, which are pronouns like you, him, they, me etc. So by definition they can't be adjectives. ;)

*puts up a advisory note*

Warning: Discusssion conversation may contain grammar unsuitable for children below the age of seven as well as brief animated unnudity.

This site supports my claim, but apparently it is not universally accepted in academia:
The articles a, an, and the and possessive nouns, such as Mary's, are classified as adjectives by some grammarians; however, such classification may be specific to one particular language.
I figure on counting articles as adjectives because of where we put them when we diagram sentences.

That makes sense, since the article IS describing the noun.

But heading back to the strip, I reckon when DCS prints this in a book he should include the uncensored version.

...and then it turns out the uncensored version is just the already revealed words and a lot of white space. :-P

Hope y'all don't mind a little resurrection here. I just found a video which, at around 1:45, includes similar censorship in which what remains seems awfully random:
