Dont you think the sarcophogi would be locked?

For one thing the museum would lock them to prevent breakage and discourage looting of the mummy, but then again...the ancients probobly did this too.

It's Millie we're talking about here. You think a lock could stop her? HA! HA I say!

After checking, I can tell you that both "uses" and "i" are used, "i" being the "official" plural form, and that sarcophagus itself, etymologically, comes from "flesh-eating stone", so misspelling it wouldn't be that outrageous (it would keep in the spirit) except for the fact that it would be using an adjective as a noun, and I don't think doing it is very common in English.

It's good to remember that Ozy is a kid, despite his wiseness... I mean wisdom. (And yes, I could have corrected it directly instead of leaving the wrong word, but I've been taugh to leave my mistakes so that people could learn from them. And I do what I want. Na.)
Anyway, with Llewellyn around, there is no doubt that he's proefficient in... many tricks.

It's not like we're consistent anyway. We don't say "My computer has viri."
That's because 'virus' isn't actually a Latin word. We do say "radii" or "cacti", do we not?

But you say "pizzas", not "pizze". Granded, it comes from a living language, Italian, not a dead one, but why the distinction?

I've been wondering that myself. Why construct an English plural for some words, and use a foreign plural for others?

Probably because of all the centuries that Latin was used for formality. Italian doesn't get used much in English except for musical directions.

Nope, virus is Latin. It means "poison".

That's a very nicely drawn sarcophagus.
