Well, hey! That's not too unbelievable. My camera's flash is prettyy powerful. That's a gross exaggeration really. One flash is a few seconds of sunlight at most. If it really were decades, one single flash would contain enough energy to incinerate an entire country.
I like how everyone got finished saying how this strip was insightful instead of funny, then you come in with that. So unless you are on speed sir you are telling VICIOUS LIES >:@I lol'd
Who sleeps shall awake, greeting the shadows from the sun
Who sleeps shall awake, looking through the window of our lives
Waiting for the moment to arrive...
Show us the silence in the rise,
So that we may someday understand...

It seems to me that the flash can't be as bright a decades of sunlight because if it was, it would burn the retinas of anyone who had their picture taken. Possibly what they mean is that the flash a the fading/aging ability equivalent to that much sun, but it seems very unlikely to me.

Cameron is awesome because:
-Because he has an artistic style that is both complex and minimalist. This is profound!
-He once drew me as a roadrunner. It was an actual honest to god feral roadrunner, but a roadrunner nonetheless!
-He lives in Idaho among the wilderness and stuff and I envy him for that. 3:
-He is probably one of the most personable artists on here.
-I think he's the only one of us on here who drew a fanart that made it as a guest strip on O&M. This is an accomplishment!
Honestly, (and no matter how many decades of sunlight it's equivalent to) I think flash pictures can't hurt statues (for the most part, they've already lost their colours. look at the ancient greek ones, they're all white when they most likely where painted with bright colours).
On he other hand, flashes definitely damage paper and old parchment and things like that. But that doesn't explain why they usually won't let you take a picture even if you're not using any flash -_- (I think that part might have more to do with "we want to sell more postcards!")

We're sort of assuming it's something DCS ran into at an actual museum-but we could be wrong.

That was the Declaration of Independence.I know that when Mr. Bocaj went to Washington, there was a sign next to the Constitution that said no photography. And there was an armed guard. To make sure nobody stole the Constitution to read the map to the National Treasure starring Nicholas Cage on the back.
