I agree its very strange. I guess people just saw him as an old man and not a threat or something. I was certainly creeped out, but I never reported him. Also from talking to other people at my school I guess he only really did it to my class.

I'm personally surprised that more wasn't made of the issue. If it was in Texas, he'd probably be behind bars for life.

That may depend where in Texas. I read an account from two students who went to a small town's school where girls got harrassed constantly by fellow students, typically by physical means. I doubt the same school would be hard on faculty saying naughty things to students.

If the teacher in question goes to jail, the students can call out, "How do you like them apples?"
