A fursona is a person's online (or offline) alter ego that is a furry that he has adopted as his fictional representation in forums, games or between friends and such. The word is derived from "persona" which, to the immense luck of furries, has a first syllable that rhymes with "fur".

If any of that is wrong someone more familiar with furries will correct parts of it.
