This joke actually makes more sense in Kevin and Kell since Ozy and Millie rarely shows the "animal" side of the characters.

Makes it all the more fun when it's mentioned in O&M. K&K just seems to overdo it most of the time.

Is it the K&K joke you don't get? Kell was mad at Kevin for not noticing her lack of a winter coat (a local consequence of global warming), much as a human woman might be mad at her husband for not noticing her new hairstyle. Kell's "cold" stare chilled her own fur enough to cause her winter coat to boing out. (Bill told the forum that she's actually still dressed in the last panel, but her fur is covering her clothes.)

K&K just seems to overdo it most of the time.

That's kind of what Kevin and Kell is about. Perhaps an outsider might say the same thing about Ozy and Millie's handling of social issues. Or one might make a similar connection between Dilbert and office jokes?
