Define Cynical Fan Forums

I have a semi-Ozy and Millie related story to tell. (If it sucks, keep in mind I didn't claim it was a good one ).

So the other day in my Beastly Books in Early England class I had to give a group presentation on Reynard the Fox. Incidentally, if you've never read it, I recommend checking out the Patricia Terry translation or dig up and Old William Caxton version; it's quite an interesting read. Anywho, before the class began I was sitting there talking to my friend when he said "I see you dressed appropriately today." I had no idea what he was talking about. He then said "The Foxes." That's when I remembered I was wearing the "Define Cynical t-shirt."

It was one of those weird situations where I knew I had to give the presentation and I knew I was putting on my Ozy and Millie shirt, but at the time I never put two and two together that I would be wearing a shirt with foxes to do a presentation about a narrative about a fox. I thought it was funny, but I was kind of hoping no one else would really notice. Sure enough, when I was done with my portion of the presentation, someone else in the class asked "and the shirt?" Since Ozy's grey and could pass as a wolf, all I could think to say was: "Yeah, I know. Well just pretend this one's Reynard and this one's Ysengrin." Now come on, I think that's worthy of some extra points for slight creativity, don't you?

I once used an Ozy and Millie strip in an physics essay but this takes the cake, gelatin, donuts, and wafah thin mints.

Heh, I always forget what I'm wearing until someone refers to it. On forums where I use a different name and/or icon, someone often makes a crack about one or the other and I take a minute to understand the relevance. But for some reason, I'm more aware of my O&M shirts than of other shirts.

Too bad I wasn't wearing either my Sonic the Hedgehog or Mario t-shirt Monday night when I had to give a presentation on the ESRB rating system in my Children and Mass Media class, huh?

And... whenever someone complements me on my shirt... I have to look down to see what I'm wearing.

I got kicked out of Harvy Nicholls for wearing a Slayer shirt. Granted, it had a picture of the bible with nails in, bust still...

That is outrageous! just because something has a bible on it they throw you out.

I don't think just having the Bible on it was the reason, but it's still outrageous for them to throw you out for a shirt.

And... I would be offended by such a shirt. But even if it was horribly horribly inappropriate, I would have just asked you to change it, or turn it inside out or something, unless you made a big deal about it or something else immature.

When I wear my Calvin and Hobbes shirt and mobs of people go out of their way to beat me up in the middle of the street.
