Can someone explian this?
Ok, so Llewellyn and Ozy live in their own country Llewellynland. So Llewellyn would be the leader/king/whatever? Or are Millie and her father still in charge? Anyway, so if Llewellyn is the king/citizen/whatever of another country how can he run for president of the U.S. in 04? ???? Is this just another Dragon Conspiracy?

wazli- welcome ot define cynical! you can go over to the airport and intro yourself there if you'd like

llewellyn's official title is Chief Diagonal Pumpkin Non-Hippopotamus Dragony Thingy-Dingy-Flingy Llewellyn (the Nineteenth) and given that in that comic it's llewellen who's deciding policy in that small story arc, i think he's in charge again. well, for that reason and also i think i recall that milli and locke gave up on being in control b/c it was too much like work. if someone can hunt up a link to justify that, i'd be happier.

but i don't have a rational for why he can run for president. dule citizen maybe? but i like dragon conspiracy better.

Locke was rather disenchanted after he found that ruling a country was just as mundane as running a pirate ship.. The next strip appears to be a bit more official in giving up the title.

He wanted to ban bread, as well as expel several states from the union (trading for part of Canada), and replace the US flag with pairs of underwear in an effort to throw the election of 2000. The full story can be found at http://www.ozyandmillie.org/2000/om20001018.html and http://www.ozyandmillie.org/2000/om20001019.html.

i can imagine millie would be delighted at the thought of replacing flags with underwear. I'd certainly think it was funny, at least until the rioters show.

well, you know, if his family owns land in idaho, perhaps thats where Llewellyn could claim residency to run for president. I don't think theres something stating that you can't have property in another country, although i didn't think llwewllyn was born in the USA, which would cause potential problems. Thats a requirenmentfor those who didn't know.
If you've done things right, people won't be sure if you've done anything at all.
On the subject of bread.. this year, statewide tortilla sales are on the verge of surpassing that of bread while bread itself is suffering from a strong following of the Atkins diet, which encourages people, among all things, to avoid carbohydrates and eat more proteins, especially meats. For some stupid reasons (namely the trends of the American public), it looks like the banning of bread might actually be favorable on Llewellyn's campaign, athough the Atkins diet would have to be a big no-no to vegetarians.

Or at-least I would expect.
