Favorite Book?

I'm curious what everyone's favorite book is, as well as what you're reading right now, what type of books you like, stuff like that. I'm reading Forward the Mage by Eric Flint and Richard Roach right now. My favorite book is Wizard's First Rule by Terry Goodkind, and I mainly read fantasy novels (although I do sometimes branch out into non-fiction and other types of fiction).

I like military techo thrillers. Right now I'm reading Wings Of Fire by Dale Brown. I love all his books! I also enjoy other military technothriller books by authors such as Tom Clancy, Patrick Robinson, Steven Coonts, and others.

I love Stephen King books. Everytime I read one, I wanna listen to System of A Down. <img src='http://definecynical.mancubus.net/forum ... iggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /> I also read the Dragonball graphic novels. Old skool Dragonball was sweet.

The Onion's "Our Dumb Century." In fact, i'm reading it as i transcribe it. As for a favorite book, i'd have to choose the latest Onion book: Ad Nauseam Volume 14.

I'm curently reading and greatly enjoying One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest by Ken Kesey. My favorite book is Animal Farm by George Orewell. I think that one can make a great movie. At least one that's better than the crappy TNN original movie. My favorite types of books? Idunno, good ones?

Anything by C. J. Cherryh, Douglas Adams, and Orson Scott Card. I pick my authors well.

I just read In the Lake of the Woods by Tim O'Brien for school and it was good. I recommend it.

My favourite book is Timeline by Micheal Crichton, one that most people didn't know existed until this movie came out. I haven't seen it yet, but I want to, if for no other reason than it has Paul Walker in it [drools]. For anyone who's seen it, DON'T TELL ME ABOUT IT!

I'd have to say The Ultimate Hitchhiker's Guide by Douglas Adams. I downloaded it, and loved it. Hopefully I'll be getting the real thing for Christmas...

I've read too much to name a favourite but ones that stick to my mind are Goodbye Mr. Chips (James Hilton), On the Road (Jack Kerouac), Cannery Row (John Steinbeck), Animal Farm (George Orwell), Dubliners (James Joyce) and The Gold Bug (Edgar Allan Poe). I don't read a lot of new books, i don't know why, i guess they don't interest me. I'm not a big fan of fantasy style books.

Animal Farm seems pretty popular, but as far as Orwell goes, I liked 1984. All my friends say the Hitchhiker's Huide to the Galaxy is great, but I don't have time to read it (I have 80 million other books to read for english)
