I first got a little freaked about the public presentation of such a sheet, especially in full color. Some of those characters I expect we'll never see so much of in the comic itself, even though they were never designed to titillate. Then I understood the purpose: not a revelation of their secrets, but a helpful visual tool for drawing them in new poses and outfits. Personally, it doesn't seem to make much difference in my ability to draw characters, but then I'm not as good at it as DCS.

There are pleanty of artists who feel that drawing any way other than nude first then draw the clothes on afterwards creates an artificial image. As a non-artist, it seems the logical way of doing things to me.

I just have to figure out how to go from balloon skeleton to body sketch.

And draw curves that don't wobble fullstop.

It's easier to imagine a character in a pose while nude, then add clothing.

Interesting find.

OMG naked animals! You can see their fur/wool/scales!

Guess it doesn't help they're all looking just a bit uncomfortable with their self-awareness of lack of clothes, eh? Well, except Llewellyn, but that's no surprise.

Bet it's more comfortable.

Some... not so neat stuff in there, but that's where I found this.

Colored by "leopard_hayama," I believe - anyone have the origional lineart?

I'm sure I've seen the original hidden around the net some place, let me have a look, though I doubt it even exists anymore it was a long time ago that I saw it.

Of course, that was four years ago; there's been measurable model shift since.

Y'know, he's right - looking at a couple recent strips, I can see it.

Any chance of an update then?

I've got an old 3d program kicking around here, been meaning to brush up my skills and I figure some O&M work might be fun. But yeah, accurate models would help, and the strips really are a bit small to get correct volumes and proportions out of - if these aren't right anymore, they'd probably mess me up if I when by them.
