That may mean that Stephan is easily manipulated more than that he's been beyond the couch.

He did seem rather, passive to it all though, not the mark of one whom is manipulatable. Perhapes he chanced upon something in his computer surfing, or just felt a kinship with the Idea of piracy as he does mention himself as such, or at least thats what I infer from the strip. I't kindov open for interogation, a paradox almost.

No, I mean he knows Locke. He's not fooled by the disguise like everyone else is.

...Which... kinda makes sense.

He knows Locke just because he's there, I think. Doesn't mean he knows about the couch.

exactly what Arloest said, Captain Locke is being a pirate, and Stephan is merely commenting on how he's being a pirate in general, not that he knows that he really is a pirate.

Go back two strips and Lock is telling everyone that they're all pirates, presumabely including himself. Doesn't necessarily mean he knows about the couch or even about Locke's origins.

Having said that, nobody knows that "Millie" is Locke, (go back a couple more and you get a "Captain Millie") except in the first panel, where Ozy says about pillaging with Locke.

Meh.

Maybe at some point in Stephan's presence, Locke slipped up.

or perhaps Ozy told him. He could have possibly guessed on his own, or maybe he thinks it really in Millie pretend to be a dreaded pirate and he decided to play along.
