Ozy and Millie: the Movie
I don't think the format of O&M would translate well into a movie, either, unless it was done just exactly right. And I've seen a lot of good books, comics, etc. made into really bad movies or TV shows. Dilbert is about the most perfect example. Great comic, and it did have a lot of potential for TV, it just didn't work out and probably turned off a lot of Dilbert fans.
I'd have to say a movie could be made but i'd prefer it not to. Animation takes away the magic pen and ink give. Much as i think Peanuts is the best comic strip ever i don't much like the movies.
An Ozy and Millie movie could be fascinating, sublime and brilliantly produced and drawn but for me it would take away a part of the strip that is unexpressable but essential anyway.

That's a nice match. As for Millie, I have an idea of what she sounds like, but I can't think of a single celebrity who sounds like the way I think she would, and if my mental image...er, mental voice sample was not lived up to, I would be sad.

I think that if Ozy and Millie were to be made into a movie, David Craig Simpson would write an origonal story line for it that would not let us down. This isn't the issue. The issue is does David Craig Simpson want an Ozy and Millie movie of T.V. show adaption. AS for voices, as long as they got an authentic British actor for Llewelyn I'd be happy, but it would be a difficult voice to cast, needs just the right tone of whimsy and authority. Scratch that, Llewelyn would need to have a touch of a Welsh accent for me to be happy.

ANd the defining Millie would need to have her "Mwahaha"'s down
LLEWELLYN: And surely you've noticed that a great deal of what I do is extremely strange.

If he can get a backing behind him, perhaps that would help change his mind, as well as having a larger basis of viewers to want to see a movie, so it would be more marketable too, and therefore more likely to happen through larger channels.

thats all i have to say for now...

Wow. I'm surprised how many people went with the cheese option on the poll.

It wan't untill a while after I posted the poll that I realized I forgot the "Only on a smaller scale, like a TV show, can it work" option. Man, I'll be kicking myself for that one for a while.
