Try being asked by the police for your name and replying "Tom Jones".

It got a look of "Alright sunshine, downtown now. That'll teach yer for being a smartarse"
Maybe you should pronounce it TH-om just for them.

Okay. My only remaining suggestion is to brain them with a wooden statue of a badger and run for it.

I don't know whats with YOU people but most people just call me Angela.
Who sleeps shall awake, greeting the shadows from the sun
Who sleeps shall awake, looking through the window of our lives
Waiting for the moment to arrive...
Show us the silence in the rise,
So that we may someday understand...

Behind your back I call you Engles. But only because I like the way it sounds.

Name: Joseph Bean
Joey, Joe, Bean, Beans, Beaner
That's all. I get called by my last name most of the time though. Probably because more people recognize me by it because I'm made fun of for it.

My last name is Depew, and as such, I used to always get 'Pepe LePew'.

I Get call Matt, Mark, and Ryan. My name is Brian. (The first two are relatives)
My brother's name is Ryan, and he constantly gets called Brian. Even by my dad.

Since we're going through nicknames...

Name: Andrew Coyle
Nicknames: Andy, Drew (I hate both of those), Javier, Javs, Javi, Java, Andrés, Andrea Cow (unpleasant mispronunciation over the PA system in junior high school that no one wants to let go of), Coyle, Cole, Hobo, Homeless Man.
Rarely do people call me by my actual first name. This includes teachers. Mostly I just try to have people stick to Javs.

You thought Bean was bad? Try Spooner.
If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place. (Revelation 2:5, NIV)
