Oh come now. It would be cool to meet an anthropomorphic fox wearing a top hat. Admit it.
But the real ones would go there! They can blend in better.

Yeah, I don't think a furry convention will be the place Ozy would go, with all the crap they have there.
Who sleeps shall awake, greeting the shadows from the sun
Who sleeps shall awake, looking through the window of our lives
Waiting for the moment to arrive...
Show us the silence in the rise,
So that we may someday understand...

Hmm, I've never been to a furry convention, so I haven't a clue what happens at one.
I thought CSI was inaccurate.
I wonder if it'll finally get it's own forum too. I've always wanted a place online where I can talk about O&M.

Eh, to each their own. I, for one, would probably not go to any convention of any sort, due to my severe introvertedness and inability to deal with large groups. Everyone has their reasons, and some of us might be just a bit crazy.
Some?
Alright, all of us. We're all crazy.

Granted, I've never really been to a convention (short of a national science fair that a relative was judging), so I can't really be considered to have an accurate viewpoint on this, can I?

I haven't been to any convention either but, would you have to socialise at all while there? Couldn't you just browse around, maybe get a book signed if an artist/author you happen to like is there? If you have the ability, you don't actually have to go with friends if you're the more solitary person. Unless they know you, it's not like a horde of people are going to come running up and talking with you.

Well, you could just browse, but the whole point of convetions is to be a social gathering. It would really just be a waste of time and money to go there and do nothing.
Plus, you don't know me. I have, shall we say, certain issues that make me uncomfortable in or near large groups or crowds. Besides, the only convention I would even consider going to is Mysterium. The issues there are 1: it's in Chicago this year, and I don't do to well in big cities. And 2: Mysters/Mystites/Myst fans are generally some of the more friendly communities out there. So it would be likely for someone to just come up and start talking.

Plus, with Myst V: End of Ages being released in the fall, it's likely there may be some sort of preview at Mysterium, as there usually is on game-release years. So, I kind of want to go. But it probably wouldn't be worth it.
