A few quick 'n' dirty recordings of the Dread Pirate Captain Locke:
ARRRR!
Whew! (Sounds a bit Russian. o_O)
Whew! (Second version, sounds less like a pirate employed by the Kremlin.)
I'll do some better ones (and perhaps other characters) later.

Hold the newsreader's nose squarely, waiter, or friendly milk will countermand my trousers.
that's what I thought he said.
but that won't happen.
it takes approximately 25 frames to make a second of animation.
she could use that time for making strips, and if she did this, she'd take my job.
please, vote 'no' for the "cartoonists working for days on end to make animation for flash cartoons when they could be doing something much better" act.

OH WOW, THAT KID --IS-- TIMULTY. AWESOME!!!
GhostWay, that's a great recording, but you sound a bit too old for the child pirate. Mayhaps if Locke is featured in his adult form, we could use you! However, it's looking like the story will focus on the beginning. There will probably be more chances to feature Locke in the future, though =)
In fact, if the animation is handled in Flash (like I'm hoping) then we may not need to worry about frame rates at all. But that sort of planning is still... um... being planned, and stuff. Heh heh.
DC, I'm so glad you approve and that you're being so cool about this! I'm officially psyched out about this now
I'm sorry I hadn't checked here in a while! I'm back in the swing of things now! Haharr!! As we delve into the writing process (and casting...and animating...and music...yadda yadda yadda) I'd like to get your feedback and advice, but I know you're busy. We'll stay in touch as much as we can, but we'll also try and stay out of your hair so you can keep working on O&M and IDT as well as the millions of other things you do. (artists... sheesh, they never quit, do they?!) I wanna give you a huge hug right now.
In fact I think I need a group hug. And some cheese. Moddex, get me some cheese and a celebratory flamethrower, will ya?
And now, we can start! I shall spread the word to the writers that we're in business. Ladies and gentlemen - let's begin, shall we?

Well, kinda sorta... if you're going for a classic, unbelievably hard to achieve sense of quality that you usually only find at Disney. The classic cartoon films are all 24 FPS, but I figure something like this would work well with the t.v. standard 15 FPS (like the simpsons, and most other episodic cartoons). 15 FPS is hard enough as it is. 24 FPS is pretty unrealistic at this point, I'm afraid.it takes approximately 25 frames to make a second of animation.

Yeah and I've been running the grapevine and getting some other people interested on other forums that are somewhat associated with O&M. One of them being Foxton Forums where hdofu (Yes the very SAME hdofu) is somewhat interested.
