I don't think I could stand being in a suit... Halloween was bad enough for me. I cannot seem to bear wearing a costume of any sort.

hmm... I should go, and experience a fur con to judge whether or not to go to another, but I do not have the funds for it.
Closest one for you would be Anthrocon in Pittsburgh, I think.
Anthrocon is the closest large one to him, but depending on where in Upstate NY he is, it may be closer to go to FA United in New Jersey, or FurFright in Connecticut.
And, Tarukai, knowing people in the immediate area is irrelevant for a furry con, especially a freaking huge one like AC. People travel great distances to come to these, due to how few of them there are. And chances are, if you know any furs at all in the US or Canada, you can probably find them at Anthrocon (even high chances of it if they're east of the Mississippi river).

True. Andrew "Kinky Turtle" Mutchler goes to AC, Morphicon, and Further Confusion in California. He's from Texas.

It would be fastest to go to the one in CT, I guarantee it. I'm near NY's capital.
I'll have to go next year to AC, though, and find you TyVulpine.

Yeah, Albany is closer to Conn then to Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh is in southwest Pa.

I'm still a bit weirded out by the first anime convention I attended recently. It would be interesting to see what a furry con would be like, but like Baconsticks I fear for my sanity.
Besides that, I don't live near any of the cities mentioned in this thread.

If there was one in my area I might drop in for an hour to see what it's all like. But it doesn't matter to me enough to spend the money to go to Cali.

Dan: I've not had my full sanity for years now. I don't remember when I lost it, but I'm so glad I did. It makes going to that anime convention annually so much more fun =D
