Well, an electron is 1/1840 of an atomic mass unit (amu), so 163840/1840=about 89 amus...about the weight of an actinium atom.

Llewellyn weighs 600 pounds. Let's leave it at that.

TAVIS! TAVIS! TAVIS!

You're forgeting about E=m*c^2. A small amount of mass containes a large amout of energy. You not pnly have to conseder the rest mass of the electrons but also theire kenetic energy as well. This is all meaningless anyways.

The gif's are stored as an arangement of magnetsetic fields on some disk. The energy would thus be the energy stored in those magnetic fields, which wouldn't be much. And then you sue the above formula to convert that energy into it's equizlent mass. That would be realy small indead. Probably smaller then even a single electron. Probably a heck of a lot smaller, several orders of magnatude.

Whoa, talk about your Physics and Chemistry argument.

Anybody here know a college professor that could settle this argument with proven facts?

If someone here knows how to do that, by all means finish this, but for now I've thought wayyy too much about this, and I'm at the limits of my knowledge (and my chem notes). Next year I'll have AP chem which includes more on this, so maybe I'll be able to do this in a year from now, but for now, I'm leaving this as is. Wow, you never know how much of a science geek you are until you do something like this. Thanks, norsenerd, for starting this out. I'm sure if anyone could finish this, it's you.

Wait. How are we measuring his wieght? On printed paper, in the storage medium, as the light we see, the prosesing required to use it. All the energy in the fistory of the gif inculding what DCS used to draw him, or some other way. Also which picture are we using to weigh him? His wieght would vary muchly form picture ot picture.

What's Llewellyn's density? What's his volume?

For that matter...

What color is his blood? What color is it without oxygen? Is he nearsighted or farsighted? How does he breathe fire? Can he fly with those wings? Does his nose run when he has a cold? How strong is he?

He is weighed in measurements that our pewny human minds coulden't possibly understand.

I wanted to find a simplistic explanation, since I know data can be compressed MUCH greater than one bit per electron, if you do it just right. I was just trying to establish an upper bound that was far lower than the guesses people were making. And I was basing the stuff on a GIF which is what I thought y'all were measuring.

Anyway, does my completely silly and pointless answer coughed up in a couple minutes at about a half hour before midnight work well enough for what was already announced to be a silly and pointless question?
