Yeah, I like any strip that has Millie saying something like that.

Note that in both strips, Millie says the word waffle. I believe I remember Mr. Simpson testifying that "waffle" is a funny word.

There's innocense, there's cynicism, and inbetween there's Ozy and Millie.

There are more than two dozens strips I really love (some were mentioned, some not), but "Summer weather" is my absolute favourite. It's my favourite strip at all, including all other comic strips I've ever read. I checked: The quotation is from David and not from another wise guy (what would have diluted the originality of the strip quite a bit).

Not entirely sure, but I think I'd say this one:

I read Ozy and Millie, and all I got was this stupid laugh thingy.

Are you sure? When I searched for worst hell "can see heaven", what is a quite general reduction of the quote, I got only a handful of websites with the actual quote and all of them with a reference were referring to "Ozy and Millie".

Well, it doesn't exist as a quote exactly, as far as I know. It is, however, the basis of one of the standard responses to "How can an all-loving God create a place designed to exue suffering upon people?" 'The Biblical Hell is metaphoric. In reality, Hell is just like earth but without the needless brutality of volcanoes and earthquakes. The torture comes from being able to see heaven' (parraphrased).

...Naturally with any philosophical points there are criticisms to the arguement and countercriticisisms and probably so on and so on but by the time you get to at the very furthest the second so on most people have lost interest in the topic having decided that there's no way of making a decission based on logic, and as such we'll just have to wait and see.

Which is why Millie said "They say that...", which is the most fuzzy parraphrase and non-attributable to any specific person or source possable and as such doesn't neccesarially mean anyone says anything at all, I'd presume. The notion is extremely prominant in modern Christianity, I believe, but I don't think anyone's sure where it originally came from, and they probably borrowed it from one of the philosopher's countercritisms to a critisism of an arguement... Either for the existence of God or for the existence of the Christian afterlife.
