Some day maybe I'll put out an all-color book.
Ooh, yeah, you could use the "House Rules" colored strips and save time. It'd be spendy, though.

Cameron is awesome because:
-Because he has an artistic style that is both complex and minimalist. This is profound!
-He once drew me as a roadrunner. It was an actual honest to god feral roadrunner, but a roadrunner nonetheless!
-He lives in Idaho among the wilderness and stuff and I envy him for that. 3:
-He is probably one of the most personable artists on here.
-I think he's the only one of us on here who drew a fanart that made it as a guest strip on O&M. This is an accomplishment!

I don't think that would work. The HR strips are done in the same resolution as the strips on the O&M site. But the books are printed in much higher resolutions.
Furries? Are they the nutters that pretend to be animals and draw humans that look like animals? Christ, I sink my head into my paws... -Rooster

THEY ARE!?!?! This is the exact same thing I was just ranting about on another forum five minutes ago! Why O WHY can't these people just work at a higher resolution?!?! *sob*

This is why I'll never be able to have my own Dan and Mab's Furry Adventures book collection.

As for the House Rules strips, I didn't think that would work, but I thought it would be because of copyright issues and/or D.C. not wanting to use their not-by-him versions. It never occurred to me that nobody would save a HIGH RESOLUTION VERSION!! Oh well. Such is life.

I'll just go take it out on my poor piano now...

Because their only source material, for the most part, is the one posted online?

Yeah, I've never given them access to the hi-rez versions. They've never asked; I'd have to think about it. Not that I don't trust them, mind you; of course I do. But the hi-rez versions I like to keep a close eye on. :)

At some point, though, if they wanted to talk about coloring hi-rez versions for a book, I'd be willing to discuss it.

Point.
On a related tangent, it seems like it would be hard to color a low-rez comic strip and make it look good. But then, I've never tried it. :)

I'd say it's harder because you have to be more precise. But easier because you don't have to go into really little details, can't go below the pixel limit.
At some point, though, if they wanted to talk about coloring hi-rez versions for a book, I'd be willing to discuss it.
Well, if the opportunity ever presented itself I'd be more than happy to help out. :)

Talking about variations on books... I'm very far behind on the French o&m website right now, mostly because my fiancé's computer is... old, and doesn't like me, and partially because I've been lazy, but I'll get back to it when I go back to France (in June).
I had a thought a few months ago that it would be neat to have a French version of the books available. I guess I'll contact you when I have translated enough strips, but I'd be more than willing to translate you in-between-strips comments as well.

And because, contrarily to coloring, translating is mostly not abou working on the drawings (I spend 90% of the time actually translating the speech bubble, and about 10% adapting it so it fits in the bubbles), it wouldn't be hard at all to redo it if I had to do in on a higher resolution. I would also be willing to give you the translations and have you put them in yourself, but that'd be more work for you.

Anyway, I'll contact you when I've translated enough strips, but as we were talking about the books, I though I'd just throw in my two euro cents ^^

Anybody else notice the same exact strip appears on pages 13 and 14, yet both have different comments under them from DCS? Whoops :dragon:

Yup I noticed that too. Was going to post about it but it was late so I went to bed, and forgot the next morning. :P
