Toyota Recall

Postby Paws » Wed Jan 27, 2010 5:29 am

Toyota recently announced a recall of at least 8 different models due to a problem where gas pedals may stick. They have not yet announced a solution, but if the gas pedal sticks and you can't stop accelerating:

1. shift to neutral and make a controlled stop
2. do not pump the brakes, as this will deplete power assist

I think this belongs in World News. As for the topic, I find Toyota a reliable brand of vehicles. I feel that the recall, would be neccessary for safety. I certainly wouldn't want my car to accelerate out-of-control.

yeah, the tricky part was the "Y", but I couldn't help but make that image when I saw the thread. It was only made better by the quote above the title.

I should also say; Thanks!

That made me laugh out loud hysterically in a public place. I legitimately thank you!
Who sleeps shall awake, greeting the shadows from the sun
Who sleeps shall awake, looking through the window of our lives
Waiting for the moment to arrive...
Show us the silence in the rise,
So that we may someday understand...

Add me to the list of people who laughed out loud. Great work man!

Edit: I also love how the spambot picked such an appropriate name for this forum.

he's not a spambot... he posted a webpage of his own notes in the "post your notes" thread.
Apologies to everyone. Except Fritz.
First of all, Fritz, do yourself a favor and research your own answers before you post.

Given that my Mam drives a Toyota Corolla I got a little worried there...until I realised it's only the bloated yank cars with no gears that are fecked up. That's OK then.
