I currently live in New York on Long Island in a town called Massapequa.

Are clame to fame is,
The Baldwin brothers,Jerry Seinfeld and the hit 80's band the Stray Cats all had there beginnings in the town of massapequa too. :-P

I live on that little island down the bottom.

Because Tasmania actually does exist. Warner Bros. didn't make it up so that the Tasmanian Devil had somewhere to come from. And it's not a country in Africa.

It didn't occur to me until now that "Tasmania" sounds very similar to "Tanzania".

Properly, "Tanzania" has its stress on the third syllable rather than the second. But there are certainly name similarities.

Real Tasmanian devils have necks and don't spin, correct?
