Yes, it did take a while... but there were a few instances where I found whole words that DC had written which could be copied directly and pasted into the little talk balloons, like "But, You, The, That" and a few other common words.
...how obsessive would it be, really, to make a font based on the text in Ozy and Mille?

Not to much, really. I was considering the concept, but it would take some work. It would certainly make these fake comics more authentic at least, rather than having to rely on lookalike fonts that don't really look anything like the official one....how obsessive would it be, really, to make a font based on the text in Ozy and Mille?
EDIT: There are a couple of Calvin and Hobbes fonts found easily on Google, which may be useful.
