This is not a strip you can do with human characters.

Never heard of the "Love is..." strip, with a naked young man and woman without genitals?

Also, in the 1960's and 70's, there were plenty of blob-type human characters in various cartoons. More famous examples include Ziggy (OK, he wears a shirt only), and the nameless huge-nosed man with a mustache who appears either with or without clothing in many of the old Pink Panther cartoons.

I think he means that you specifically couldn't do a 'strip poker' joke with human characters because the joke here is that they're furries -- and that Ozy only wears his waistcoat and hat anyway -- so they just don't get the point of taking off clothes.

Reminds me of an MST3K skit (found here, actually, starting at around 1:45), where Crow and Tom Servo hold a wet t-shirt contest. They don't quite get the point.

From time to time I give in to the urge to draw humor from the fact that Ozy has no pants on.

The furries in this strip are without genitals. Of course there are plenty of furry scenarios where this is not the case, and clothing is generally mandatory in those.

Plus showing human children playing strip poker in you comic might get you on certain watch lists.

Ozy does look naked without his waistcoat on.
