So I'm guessing Llwellyn singed the equipment and the "sssss" isn't from the sound it makes anyway?

You know, it could be a lot worse.
I'm not sure it's obvious enough that the dental tool has melted. Usually it's best not to draw visual gags that depend on really tiny objects.
