I remember back when normal people actually didn't know about shock sites, and back when they were actual pictures so you didn't have enough time to realize that you didn't want to look at it before it was too late :/

I also remember that I would go to tubgirl every single time someone linked me to it.

Goatse was also my first shock site. I even remember how I was tricked into going to it. I was reading the instructions for Dance Dance Karnov, a Flash game on Something Awful. One of the FAQs was "Why should I read this when I could be spending my time at goatse.cx?" Never having heard of it, of course I clicked.

I was twelve years old when I discovered goatse. I had met three people on the internet that were several years older than me, and so they were all better friends, but one was talking about how terrible goatse was and when I asked what it was, neither would tell me lol
so I googled it, knowing that it wouldn't be a rainbow or anything, and for that reason I wasn't totally grossed out. Got me in a lot of trouble down the road too, lol

Personally I never liked these types of strips, they seem a little pretentious...almost like a "look at what I've read". I guess it'd work better if the joke was funnier.

Man, goatse was my very first shock site... the memories!

And the funny thing is, when I was first ventured across it I was new to the internet in general. So upon seeing it I didn't even think it was a shock site, just a regular porn site, and I was like "man, the internet is STRANGE."

Well it did start out as porn before being discovered by the masses
