Huh. Well, they did it differently on my female cat, from the scars I've seen. I didn't know there were different methods. I owe DCS an apology.

Well, I never knew there were different methods of doing the operation either untill I read your post. Guess it depends on the vet, though the method described in Wikipedia seems most common.

The things you learn on DC, huh? :)

DC taught me how people greatly strive to find miniscule things wrong with something they dislike.

DC Simpson couldn't even depict spaying a female dog properly. The results would have been two rounded slits where the ovaries had been.
Actually....

I still have this crazy theroy that Raine used to be a boy doggy.

The scarring seen would be about correct for a total castration and penedectomy.
Thats actually a pretty solid theory.
1---RD is female and always was. They were calling her "girl" before having her "fixed" and named her Princess.

2---Every female animal we had spayed was as depicted in the comic. They make the slit and pull things out from it. From Wikipedia:

"The surgery is usually performed through a ventral (belly) midline incision below the umbilicus (belly button). The incision size varies depending upon the surgeon and the size of the animal. The uterine horns are identified and the ovaries are found by following the horns to their ends.

There is a ligament that attaches the ovaries to the kidneys which may need to be broken so the ovaries can be identified. The ovarian arteries are then ligated (tied off) with resorbable suture material and then the arteries transected (cut). The uterine body (which is very short in litter bearing species) and related arteries are also tied off just in front of the cervix (leaving the cervix as a natural barrier). The entire uterus and ovaries are then removed. The abdomen is checked for bleeding and then closed with a 3 layer closure. The linea alba (muscle layer) and then the subcutaneous layer (fat under skin) are closed with resorbable suture material. The skin is then stapled, sutured, or glued closed."

Too much info? :P

But it could be some crazy M Night Shyamalan twist where she was a man and then took estrogen to become a woman, and also she is a human and all the people we see are really raccoons in peaple costumes. AND THEN HE WAS A GHOST THE WHOLE TIME!!!!!!!

This is probably the most pointless criticism ever.

Well, everyone knows that gusts of wind never happen spontaneously, but only after given 2 minutes of proper notice in writing.

I don't see how that could be confusing...

she's just sitting there moping for a long time; hence at some point wind blows. it shows that she's cold and pitiful and unsuccessful
