I think this comic would make more sense when read as a chunk.
Probably, yes. I'm having the same issue with two webcomics by Bleedman that I read. He only updates once every week or two, and so even though there's 125 full-size pages of the one and 80 of the other, I don't know much about the stories because I keep forgetting everything that's happened more than a couple of months ago.
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving is not for you.

That's part of the reason I only read the comments and not the strip. I'm waiting until there's at least 50 then reading through them. I think the story seems like it could be good, in a sort of schmaltzy way, but yeah the pace is too slow so far.

Then again, I'm the last person who can criticise anyone for slow updating comics. I think my last story, 30 strips, took over 6 months as I'm a lazy stoner with ADD and get distracted by shineys.
