In that last panel, I find myself asking...schadenwawa??
"Mmf, sorry. But actually, around here it happens much less."
"Around here"? You mean...in the city? In this particular part of the city? As opposed to where? The country? Another part of the city?
And..."it"? Meaning memory flashbacks? Reading local history through the smells it leaves behind?

I admit it...I'm being left behind by ambiguity; I'm seeing all kinds of potential interpretations of what's going on here and how Raine is reacting to it, and I need to eliminate few of 'em before I can go, "Oh, okay...that's what's meant here."

I think 'it' refers to the past following her around. Reading only the words and ignoring the visuals I get that sense.

I am too tentative to compliment or critique at this stage of the comic.

This comic reminds of the civil rights movement only it's with animals. Maybe this how Raine could walk aroung freely and not be a pet to someone.

I Googled this word, and your entry was the first result. Please explain.

Not in this serious a context. But that is more accurate than Extreme-Speed's implication that the city is populated with flashers.

I knew that much, but what does that have to do with the panel? And why change "freude" to "wawa" unless you're saying you don't know the word?

A long time ago, in the early 90s, LucasArts put out this computer game called AFterlife. It's basically SimCity, only you're building heaven and hell.
You have these two assistants--a demon and an angel--who give you advice when you need or ask for it. Thing is, at one point, one of them says something very confusing and convoluted, and the other--totally lost, as it's assumed the user is--just says, incredulity dripping from her voice and expression, "Schadenwawa...???"
...it's stuck with me ever since; I use it when I'm confused. *pshrug* It's just this thing you say...s'all.

Look hard enough on the internets and you'll find a picture, drawn by DC herself, of a naked, shaved Raine Dog.

Huh...with the tag on the ear and the jail cell bars, I kinna thought it was, like, a concentration camp kinna thing.

What's this about a shaving fetish? Somehow I've managed to miss this...unless we're also talkin' about Ozy goin' hairless at least once a year...

Also, back on the comic. I don't get what's happening there...
