For what is worth, I'm kinda impressed with how the wet effect of the 'sploosh' turned out. :)

So Ozy's fur gets darker with water? I should have guessed; so does mine.

Yeah, I think it has something to do with the refraction of the colours within the hairs as they get stuck together. It's probably also why hair turns darker/wetter looking when you put gel in it.

And it's not the first time we've seen them wet in colour:
