Ironicly, I think my favourite rendition of that theme is the unaccompanied male voice choir one in the pure platforming goodness cave levels in Super Mario Sunshine.
Which, assuming these two are in tune, would probably be the closest approximation to what they're doing.
Only with more "do" and less "dat" and "boop"
And is reminiscent of the time me and someone in real life spontainiously dueted one of the FF victory fanfares.
And then tried to figure out which one we were singing.

Who doesn't love MIDI-tunes that will make a person go absolutely crazy after listening to them for more than ten minutes?
Not that System Shock didn't have some very neat MIDI-music though
