More forum bugs

Postby CodeCat » Tue Oct 02, 2007 11:20 am

I found two bugs:

- If the interests field in your profile contains an &, when you go to the profile page to edit it, it will be & instead. If you submit that, then next time it'll be & and so on...

- If you submit any modifications to the profile page, such as an avatar, or location, then the preferences page will be reset to the defaults.

I've seen this problem on other boards using PHPBB as well. Even in posts.

Yeah, it was one of the many reasons we switched IRT away from it...

(The others included the fact that, when we waited too long to upgrade, we got hacked, and when we tried to upgrade quickly, there was some bug in the updates that they didn't fix until later.)

Looks like that fixed the "birthday setting doesn't save no matter what I do" bug as well.

The bug report in the quote is "changing profile causes preferences to reset." I was talking about "changing birthday causes birthday to reset."
