The games forum does not add to peoples post count. I should really put that in the forum desc.

Tavis: The top ten posters doesn't work by post count. If it did, it would just be the ten with the highest post count, which is pretty pointless.

It's not that useful anymore.. the results there have been skewed ever since the "post about the poster above you" stuff started. Right now, it's only a good indicator of who is most active in the Games in the past 24 hours..

5hfifty: It does go by a post count, sort of, and is pointless for that very reason.

Hmm, well the actual "today's posts" column isn't by post count, it's the total posts anywhere. Since the posts in the games forums are actual posts, it should display them. Why would you read the top posters page anyway? :P

Why? Statistical curiosity, mainly... and because such info is on topic for this discussion.

It does make sense to be able to see who's been active...

I just noticed I have something like 30 posts today. Only about half of those have been outside the games forum though.

My post count would be doubled if Forum Games applied, but I'm glad it doesn't 'cause I wouldn't really be earning it.

So, theoretically, that would mean the statement that you don't post untill you have a good contribution to a thread is a good contribution to a thread? Fascinating.

I would like to add that this post is my one hundredth post I've made since I joined this board and thus will make me a level three member. I admit to finding pride in this, but I would never have tried to get here by illegitimate means. I am not a spammer. But I am guilty of posting when I have something important to say or even if I have something to say at all. I don't think this merits a stick-beating warrent, at least I hope. Now that I'm done pleading innocense of spamming...

Roll out the red carpet, boys! Daddy's got a new little blue square under his avatar!
