Last year I had a Canadian co-worker and she hade some interesting stuff to say abotu the diferences between Canada day and July foruth. She stated that Canada day was a day off from work and not much else. It seams that we celebrate our national dy much morre then the Canadians celebrate thier national dya. IT makes sense whan you realize that we fought a way to gain our nation while Canada did the less painfull and less exciting negotiation to gain their nation.

Meh, I'm not the biggest fan of America, but I went to Astroworld to celebrate today anyway.
Yeah, call me a commie, but it's how I feel.
Who sleeps shall awake, greeting the shadows from the sun
Who sleeps shall awake, looking through the window of our lives
Waiting for the moment to arrive...
Show us the silence in the rise,
So that we may someday understand...

I spent the day wandering the Inner Harbor of Baltimore. If anyone tells you the Inner Harbor is fun, they're lying. There's nothing worth doing there.

Holidays are good, especially if you're supposed to do cool stuff.

I spent my 4th of July at a friends place. BBQ'd some Brats (Bratwursts) on the grill and had sweet corn on the cob. later that evening Irish, Moe, Mike, and I, went outside to shoot off some fireworks. However these were the legal kind so they were a bit lame. as We were doing this, one of the local suburbs had their Fireworks displays and we could see the glow from on the other side of the apartment building. "Elver park?" I said. Irish then looked at me and said "Either that or Mt. Horeb has decided to erupt!!". Good times.
