Mrpwase, get urself ur parents' support, a BSA rated gun case and a note from ur doctor saying, yes, u are sane really, honest guv, and sum1 else of 'good social standing' (i.e. not Paddy the builder u passed in the street) and you can get a shotgun lisence at 5. I think its any age but the youngest person I've seen with one was 5. If ur more into pistols or rifles, then U need to be 17 for an air rifle, without a lisence, or 15 for a real gun with a lisence. You are not allowed any form of Semi-Automatic weapon, you are not likely to be permitted to own more than 100 rounds of ammunition, and you probably won't be allowed anything over .22. Maybe .223 if you're reeeeaal nice to them.

Me? I've shot a 7.62 NATO sniper rifle, a .357 magnum handgun, a .357 magnum lever action rifle, a .223 military grade Ruger (converted to bolt action for legal reasons), a .22 rimfire bolt action piece of crap, and a .303 Lee Enfield from WWII.

And no, I'm not supposed to have and if anyone asks I didnt. OK ?

I've shot an M-16 (.223 calibre), AK-47, a German Ruger (not to be confused with the Luger), several .22 pistols, a .45 semi-auto pistol, 12-gauge shotgun, 16-gauge shotgun, .50-calibre sniper rifle, .30-calibre fully-auto machine gun, and probably a few others I'm forgetting.

I own an AK-47, .22 bolt-action rifle with sniper-grade accuracy, and my .45 semi-auto pistol should be arriving next month. I've shot a Russian SKS (7.62x39mm) many .22 pistols, a .280 bolt action, many .22 rifles, a 12 gauge, 20 gauge, and 10 gauge shotgun, .243, .308, a .357 magnum, and that's all I can think of at the top of my head.

Fools, you will never match the sheer power of THIS weapon!
This signature may spontaneously combust at any given moment. Make sure there's a fresh can of gasoline handy.

I think we've got a little forum militia thing going on here . . .
