Who'll defend him in court? I know I wouldn't, firstly because of principal, but secondly because of death threats.

A member of Saddam's family (either his wife or daughter, I forget which, perhaps both) has hired a defense team of 20 lawyers for him. Evidently, one or several or maybe all of them will defend him in court.

there was a prosecution lawyer on the radio today, was saying about British hostages that were tortured and such by him in the first Gulf war, making him sound s bad as he is. All I could think was Abu Grave/Graze. I forget quite which one.

If you're talking about the prison fiasco recently, I think that was Abu Ghraib. Or similar...

Anyhoo. I don't think that British lawyer should be shunned, at least not without knowing more. Lawyers are meant to remain impartial, first and foremost, they work for whoever hires them.

But, at-lest in this country, lawyers, with the exception of public defendants, are honor bound and perhaps legaly bound to not take on a case if they thing the side they are arguing is incorect. This never happens buit ti's still there.

I may have misunderstood, norse, but what's the point of being honour bound if nobody does it?
