I'm guessing that there'll be limited feedback as most people on here probably didn't watch the match.

England scored a perfectly legitimate goal in the 90th (last) minute of the match. It was 1-1 and if the goal had been allowed we would've won. However the Swiss referee was all over the place - he should lose his job. Its sad that at this international level of football (soccer) there should be such an unprofessional referee.

It wasn't just that - to complain about that would be immature. But you should've seen him; he got in the way of the ball three times, making both sides have to actively avoid him. He carded people who didn't touch diving opponents, yet when a player was grabbed around the neck and pushed to the floor - nothing. If that had happened in the street it could have gone to court as ABH, or at least assault.

Well, yes, I'm feeling suitably irked.
The end is nigh!

Such is life I'm afraid Ozy

Admittedly the referee should have been more experienced if he was making those mistakes; alternatively, it could have been a one-off brought on by the level of the game involved.

Just cause you aren't in either team doesn't mean you can't be nervous about your performance

For fear of offending people, I'll just say comisserations England, and better luck next time!

Even if I never watch a game you play, I'll always have the match updates shouted through my Halls of Residence

lol life sucks sometimes...tbh im surprised there weren't riots in Portugal. Before, the threat was that we would be disqualified, but if we were knocked out anyway...

Not that I wish there were riots - anarchy and mindless destruction/violence isn't something to be condoned.

Being a bloody Yank, I don't pay much attention to football (soccer), but congrats anyway to Greece for winning the Championship.
