I hope this qualifies as "World News"... if not, feel free to move this topic... but, yeah, we knew this was coming what with the brain cancer and all, but it still sucks... :(

He was trying to facilitate his replacement not a week ago so I guess he saw this coming. Its tragic no matter what you thought about his politics/dress sense.
That which does not kill me, cripples me for life.

This.

I am kind of sad to see the last of the Kenndy Brothers go. I'm glad that he didn't go the way of his other three brothers and out lived them, but I don't really consider dying of a brain tumor as a "natural death". I would have liked to see him die of old age instead.

This is probably the saddest I've been over a death in a while. Truly a great loss.
Who sleeps shall awake, greeting the shadows from the sun
Who sleeps shall awake, looking through the window of our lives
Waiting for the moment to arrive...
Show us the silence in the rise,
So that we may someday understand...

Edited: Politicizing a topic about a politician's death is never a good idea, especially on a fairly liberal board such as this.

Ted Kennedy was a great guy, and a great politician. I will sorely miss him.

Exactly. Everyone else is respectfully mourning his death, regardless of their political views.

It would be tactful of you to politely follow suit.
Anami and Anami are sitting around Anami says "GRR I AM ANGSTY LET'S EXPRESS ANGST" and so Anami says "ONE OF THE MODS ON DC IS A DICK I POSTED A PICTURE THAT WASN'T REALLY THAT INAPPROPRIATE AND THREE MODS SAW IT AND DID NOTHING THEN A FOURTH ONE SAW IT AND DELETED IT" and Anami says "OMG I HATE MODS >:("

I mourn his death more than you can even respect OR expect from me.
Besides, I actually had a chance to MEET the guy; Did YOU?
