I thinkt he Catholic shurch should rull over it's own peopel adn not over non-catholics. I believe in lettingpeople determine their own set of morals in most casses inluding three of the four issues (I have no stated positon on stem-cell research) and not try to legislate that mroality on otherers. I personaly disagree with abortion and my personal beliefs on gay marige are not clear but I don't try to convince other poeple of my positons on those two subjects. I belive people should figure otu for themselves where they stand on these topics and then suport their positon.

It's not the religion that's at fault. It's just the crazy loonies within it.

But yeah that's pretty dumb.

I'm not very religous, so this doens't really affect me much; however, I do very strongly support stem-cell research. While I understand why the church my deem it immoral, I feel like the potential benefits of the research outweigh the "immoral" aspect (note I used quotations for "immoral," as that's strictly a subjective statement; I personally don't think it's immoral).

It seems to me that the Catholic Church is one of the stricter churches and is the least accepting of the major denominations. I think it's more likely to alienate people with this than gain their support.

I think he's got too much religiousness in him and not enough philosophicalness.
