Hey guys they found a mysterious device and a threatening note in a locker at school and we were stuffed in the gym at the middle school across the street for 4 hours, then we went home 17 minutes earlier than normal =D

Was this on the news anywhere besides the washington/oregon area?

Wrong forum much?

I haven't heard anything about it, but I don't really keep up with the news all that much. As in, not at all.

Sticking in World Events, cause it's an event in the world and that.

I request that we move the thread about OM ending to here 'cause it's a world event

I don't have as much time to just watch the news during the schoolyear. I'll check CNN tonight to see if it was.

That's Associated Press, so you'd expect it to be all over.

Fahahah! There's crap in there I didn't even know happened. Someone left a fuсking backpack in the stadium so they "neutralized" it with a water cannon?? hahahahaha... They make it sound worse than it was, too. They seemed to leave out the fact that we were only at the stadium in "freezing weather" for 20 minutes or so, then we were taken to a cozy gymnasium. A cozy gymnasium packed to the square inch with children, that is. For four hours. At least it was warm.

That bomb squad is so crazy.

Oh media, how we love your exaggeration and inaccurate reporting.

I don't know if this is related to the topic but I had a nervous break down thursday and I made an anology to myself and that asian guy from Virgina Tech. All I said was I felt alot of pressure and they send me to the conselour because they saw me as some kind of threat. Which is totally prepostorous.

err, if you compared yourself to a person whose only claim to fame is that he could not handle his depression anymore and took guns to his school in order to shoot people, then I think it is not at all preposterous to get you counseling. I'm not saying that's what you meant, just that you should choose your analogies a lot better.

Pretty much what I was going to say.

If you compare yourself to a guy who went on a killing spree, you really shouldn't be surprised that people get freaked out.

"Not saying I'm going to go on a killing spree or anything but I'm a lot like that guy who did so you never know lol."

(Never say this in school.)

I used to make constant jokes about blowing my highschool up. Fortunatly with it being Britian, nobody took me seriously.

You're lucky, rooster. In America, if you write a fiction story in English class about someone killing themself, or someone shooting up a school (which I think you might not even be allowed to write about), you get a trip to the counselor, who cross examines you to make sure you didn't write a story about yourself.
